Oprah Winfrey cancels her star-studded 60th birthday

Oprah Winfrey has cancelled her upcoming 60th birthday bash – a source reveals to Confidenti@l.

With zero explanation, the former daytime TV queen switched gears, going from planning a massive bash in Santa Barbara to wanting a low-key evening with best friend Gayle King and longtime partner Stedman Graham.

A celebrity-filled party, meant to mark another decade for the Big O, was supposed to take place Jan. 29, with performances by Beyoncé and Tina Turner.

“The invitations were ready to go out, but she decided not to send them yet,” a close source tells Confidenti@l. “Julia Roberts, John Travolta, Tom Cruise and even the Obamas, who were all on the invite list, will have to find something else to do that night.”

Winfrey is known for her milestone birthday bashes. She was still hosting “Oprah” when she turned 50, and invited the world into her party with cameras ready to catch her dancing with Travolta. Jay Leno was on hand to wheel out a 400-pound banana cake, while Stevie Wonder dropped in.

“It was one jaw-dropping moment after another,” Oprah’s pal King said at the time.

Winfrey discussed the prospect of turning 60 on a “CBS This Morning” segment in the summer, saying she’s always wanted to “own it. … Because you think of what you thought 60 was and what you imagine 60 to be. But this is how I live my life: I think about all the people that didn’t make it. … I think to be able to claim that number, to own it. Bring it on!” she said.
