Magic Johnson is famous for being a professional basketball play, a sports superstar if you will. Male athletes and those in the sports world are typically not connected to the LGBT community, but recently that wasn’t the case. Johnson’s son, Earvin Johnson III (EJ), decided to come out of the closet and not hide who he really was (good for you EJ!). He was spotted strolling down the streets of Hollywood wearing a feather boa and sporting a handbag, while holding hands with another guy, believed to be his boyfriend.
Magic Johnson sat down with TMZ and discussed his son. “We’ve known for a long time that my son EJ was gay,” Johnson said. “We finally had to sit down and talk about it. I told him, ‘Look, I’m gonna love you regardless. Just let me know. Are you, or aren’t you?’ And finally he said, ‘Yes, I am.'”
Johnson throws his full support behind his son saying “I’m behind him a million percent. This is really wonderful for him.”
