LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD: CONQUERING MOUNT ST. HELENS is a one-hour special following the fan-favorite family as they conquer life as empty nesters. Now that three of the Roloff kids have moved out, Matt and Amy have a lot of time on their hands. Feeling restless and needing a challenge, Amy conceives a bold idea: to climb Mount St. Helens. Naughty But Nice Rob got a chance to sit down with the couple to talk about misconceptions and celebrity crushes:
What can we expect on new special?
Finding the confidence to overcome fears (physically, mentally and emotionally) is something everyone deals with one time or another. In this episode you get to share the intimate moments on the struggles and triumphs of Amy’s breathtaking journey.
Are you still having fun with the show?
We still have a lot of fun with the show! Sharing our life story for so many years… has almost become a part of our DNA. But it does have its tough moments… We try to remain grounded in who we are as individuals, a couple and a family.
What is the biggest misconception about you?
Matt: People think I’m a complete “micro-manager.” We’ll maybe I am but I like to get the job done …. And done right.
Amy: It’s not that I don’t appreciate and think Matt is creative and does some really great stuff around the farm but someone has to be grounded in reality sometimes.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Matt: Jennifer Aniston. I find her to be a natural beauty and wonderful actress.
Amy: Ron Howard – NOT A crush, He’s real! Just a very interesting guy who survived being a child actor but is also one of Hollywood’s most successful director and everything else.
