While Kim Kardashian and Kayne West are picking out a name for the arrival of their first child, Carson Kressley has his fingers crossed that Kim and Kayne’s little bundle of joy will be gay.
“Lets keep our fingers crossed the baby is gay,” Carson tells NBNROB. ““I just think everyone needs to be who they are meant to be. No one calls that but high up in the sky. But it does help having high profile OUT gay people. Also, I think of the tremendous allies in the sports world, and in the entertainment world, sometimes I think that’s even more effective than gay people. It’s not only about gay role models its also about straight ones too.”
Carson, who became a household name starring in ‘Queer Eye For The Straight Guy,’ says the world is changing, joking that he would have gotten fired if he were straight!
“I think the most important thing about being visible and being out is that it becomes mainstream and people across the country begin to realize it’s not a big deal,” he explains. “When Queer Eye first came out, literally they weren’t airing it in Tulsa, it was too progressive. I think they were airing old re-runs of Coach and after two weeks of that even the people in Tulsa were like, bring us the gays.”
