People using old socks, handkerchieves and bandanas as home-made face masks are risking getting themselves sick – according to a Minneapolis nurse turned businesswoman, who has created her own mask infused with silver. Lisa Hill says she got the idea for her Silverite Global Mask after seeing people wearing a bizarre array of home-made face coverings. Having spent 20 years as a nurse, she knew first hand the dangers of wearing masks that did not filter and clean the air properly. It was obvious to her…she needed to create a mask infused with one of nature’s oldest purifying elements – silver.
Lisa says she first discovered the healing properties of silver when years ago she herself got a serious infection that was helped by using this centuries old element. She says silver has always been used as an antibacterial and anti microbial barrier and gives as an example one of the world’s most famous sayings: “when we say someone was born with a silver spoon in their mouth, that dates back to a time when families who were rich enough were able to afford silver cutlery to put in their water and other liquids to prevent bacteria from forming,”she told us. It is well documented that soldiers going off to wars would often put a silver coin in their canteen to keep the liquid from spoiling.
The Silverite Mask has silver woven and infused into its fibers and is the latest of Lisa’s silver based products, which includes pillows, travel pillow and pet beds. Check out this new mask at www.silveriteglobal.com
