John Stamos recalled a sweet moment he shared with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen when he and his former “Full House” stars reunited at Bob Saget’s funeral.
“They came to Bob’s funeral, and it was so beautiful,” Stamos said on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” Tuesday.
Stamos, adding that the Olsen twins didn’t speak at the funeral, recalled how the two “got us all together and said, ‘We love you. We loved our childhood. We’re grateful for you guys, we thank you for making those eight years so beautiful for us. We have such fond memories.’”
“And everyone just needed to hear that,” he said.
Stamos, 60, starred in the ’90s hit TV series alongside the Olsen twins — who shared the role of Michelle Tanner — and Saget, who played the family patriarch, Danny Tanner.
As Page Six previously reported, Saget died unexpectedly in January 2022 from a “brain bleed” after “accidentally hitting his head” in his hotel room. He was 65.
“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma,” a statement from Saget’s family revealed at the time.
“They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”
“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”
