King Charles has kept Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s names on the list of invitees for this year’s royal summer vacation.
Each summer, the royal family sets off to Balmoral Castle in Scotland for their annual break.
And despite the Sussexes shutting the door on royal life in 2020, they have not been iced out from family get-togethers in Balmoral.
“All family members are expected to stay [at Balmoral Castle] at some point over the next few weeks. That is, except the Duke and Duchess of Sussex whose ‘open invitation’ to join family gatherings hasn’t exactly been rescinded, but is certainly not expected to be accepted.”
Charles is the only senior member of the royal family who maintains contact with the Sussexes.
Charles’ relationship with Harry has been massively strained following the release of “Spare” and its accompanying interviews as the duke unleashed several attacks on his wife.
Returning to the monarchy as working members would be a “bizarre” move considering the damage done.
“The idea that after everything that has happened that Meghan and Harry could just walk back in is beyond extraordinary.”
