Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made it very clear that their royal family feud chapter is behind them as they set their sights on Hollywood. It’s pretty evident that the A-listers are welcoming them with open arms, especially after the Duchess of Sussex’s sighting in the VIP box at Beyoncé’s birthday concert. To rub elbows more with the entertainment industry movers and shakers, the couple may be eyeing a move closer to Los Angeles
The dynamic duo reportedly spent part of their Labor Day Weekend touring the future site of a Malibu home, according to TMZ. (See the photos HERE.) Harry and Meghan looked at an $8 million plot of land that includes six acres, a guard gate for privacy and security, a stunning pool, an ocean view, and the beginnings of a 10,000 square-foot estate. It’s a pile of dirt right now, but the permits are ready to go for construction. The media outlet estimates that it will cost them an addition $10 million to build if they decide to buy the land.
Harry and Meghan are thinking about putting their Montecito property on the market, which is something they’ve been considering for quite some time. Malibu will also offer them similar privacy to the Santa Barbara County area, so it’s likely why they are considering this LA neighborhood. The possible move also aligns with the rebranding efforts that have been going on behind the scenes with the Sussexes.
Meghan’s partnership with Hollywood agency, William Morris Endeavor, is reportedly almost ready to launch her first solo project, rumored to be a revival of her lifestyle blog, The Tig. Harry also has his Invictus Games scheduled for next week in Dusseldorf, Germany, so there is going to be a huge spotlight on his return to Europe. It’s an interesting new chapter for the royal couple, and one that stands to be a lucrative one.
