Taylor Swift was ‘letting off steam’ with Matty Healy following ‘stifling’ Joe Alwyn relationship
Taylor Swift’s fleeting romance with Matty Healy was never anything serious — and we surely won’t be getting any love songs out of it.
“Everyone who really knows her has been saying all along that this was a fun, good time thing that would last as long as it lasted and would be no big deal once it was done,” an insider said.
“She will not be writing albums about this one. It was a summertime thing.”
The insider further noted that Swift “can’t have a good time with anyone without the press marrying her off to them.”
Simply put, Swift was just looking for a fun time after her “stifling” relationship with Joe Alwin, whom she split from in April after six years of dating.
On Monday, a source told TMZ that the singer was “single” again — just one month after going public with Healy.
However, the same couldn’t be said for Alwyn, who reportedly felt “slighted” and was “distraught” that she moved on so quickly.
However, they also noted that there was no overlap between the two relationships.
Taylor Swift visibly ‘emotional’ performing breakup song amid Matty Healy split
The singer looked “on the verge of crying” while performing the 2016 single for a Chicago audience one attendee tweeted on Monday.
“Wondering if I dodged a bullet, or just lost the love of my life?” the Grammy winner, 33, sang with a trembling voice while seated at a piano over the weekend.
Eras Tour concertgoers reacted to the emotional performance online.
“Someone tell her she doesn’t have to do it to herself if she’s not ready,” the Twitter user wrote.
Others praised Swift for not hiding her “raw emotions,” writing, “I was there and seeing her this emotional almost made cry.”
