Tom Bergeron Just Broke His Instagram Silence About Tyra Banks’ Host News
Tom Bergeron is sharing his thoughts on the show as a whole.
On March 17, TMZ reported that Tyra Banks is leaving Dancing With the Star safter three seasons as a host.
The news stunned viewers, as her initial hire in 2020 came as ABC abruptly fired Tom and Erin Andrews.
As a result, many fans commented on the former America’s Funniest Home Videos host’s latest Instagram post, begging him to make a grand return to the ballroom.
While celebrating St. Patrick’s Day the same day Tyra’s departure was announced, Tom posted a photo of a beer that he was enjoying and he took a second to respond back to a particular comment.
“[We’re] hoping, that with the luck o’ the Irish, we will have the #BestHostEver back over-seeing his realm where he belongs!” one fan wrote.
“Thanks! It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the show,” he replied.
“Disney+ was hemorrhaging $$ under [former CEO Bob] Chapek and the returning Bob Iger has pledged to cut costs. Add to that viewing #’s for DWTS were never released (unlike, say, for The Mandalorian) which also doesn’t necessarily bode well. I wish them well.
Julianne Hough will replace Tyra and work alongside Alfonso Ribeiro as a co-host.
