A weepy Barbara Walters made her return to The View this morning after being away for six weeks following a bout with chicken pox, and a concussion. But now she is back and has no intensions of leaving anytime soon.
“With Barbara away a lot of people thought she would retire,” one ABC insider tells NNR. “That couldn’t be further from the truth. Barbara loves her work and has missed being in charge. She will never retire.”
Since her head injury Barbara has watched the show every morning and bombarded staff with notes on what they are going right and wrong.
“She is a very hands on boss,” laughs one employee. “She knows what she likes and what she doesn’t and isn’t afraid to let you know.”
ABC confirms Barbara has no plans to retire anytime soon.
She said she contracted the chicken pox from a “well-known” actor she kisses on New Year’s….Mickey Rooney?
