Three stars from the ABC comedy “Modern Family” got stuck in a Kansas City elevator for an hour Friday night and no amount of clicking their Rudy slippers together would get them home. Instead that task fell to the hands of the Kansas City Fire Department.
Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet were all in town for a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs, but were delayed by an hour when they got trapped in an elevator with about a dozen other people at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel.
“They were never in any harm but it did get a little scary,” one person at the event tells NNR. “Jesse was the one that found the whole situation the most amusing and had everyone that was trapped laughing until they were free. He also commented on how cute the local Fireman were.”
