David Letterman banned Harmony Korine – film director, producer, screenwriter, and author, from The Late Show in 1998 after he caught him going through Meryl Streep’s purse!
“I went upstairs [to the green room] to greet Meryl Streep,” Letterman told guest James Franco last night. “I looked around and found your friend, Harmony, going through her purse.”
Surprised by the news James still came to his friend’s defense. “I think he had a period where he was going a little off the rails, so maybe he was on something that night.”
And puff, just like magic Letterman rescinded the ban thanks to the magic of James Franco, the great and powerful OZ!
