New Jersey’s larger than life Governor, Chris Christie, has signed a new law that requires all 17 year-olds must have a parent or guardian present at a tanning salon.
New Jersey already prohibited children 14 and under from tanning, but now the law extends that ban to older teens. It also bans children under 14 from getting spray tans in tanning salons. Christie says the infamous ‘Tan Mom inspired the new law’ – Patricia Krentcil, and surprisingly – she thinks it a great idea.
“I think it’s the best statement made. People need to reconstruct their minds. I agree with this law, I have always thought this. You have to be a certain age to make an appropriate decision,” Tan Mom tells Naughty But Nice Rob. “I’m from the beach. I didn’t realize how dark I was. I love the sun; I’m from Long Island. My point is in New Jersey you have to go to the shore and I don’t have time with all these kids to do that luxury.”
“All these parents should wake up and start watching their children, where is the parenting?”
But what about the Governor himself? Does Patricia think he would look better with a bit of color?
“No, I don’t care anymore. But you are damaging your skin, I don’t care anymore,” she adds. “I feel great now even without a tan.”
