Kanye West is notorious for expressing his disdain for something when he’s got an audience – but it’s what he didn’t say that caught fans’ ears.
In the song “Cold,” Kanye normally sings: “Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team.” At the X Games, he completely left out Jay-Z’s name — he just skipped over from the word “had” to “drop.” Wow!
In his song “Blood on the Leaves” normally Kanye sings: “I don’t give a damn if you used to talk to Jay-Z. He ain’t with you, he with Beyonce, you need to stop actin lazy.” At the X Games, Kanye sang: “I don’t give a damn if you used to talk to [SILENCE]. He ain’t with you, he with Beyonce, you need to stop actin crazy.”
This isn’t the first time Kanye has dissed Jay Z – though it was words: he said how much he hated Jay Z and Justin Timberlake’s collaboration on the song “Suit & Tie,” during a concert in London in 2013. Back then though, Kanye said he had love for “Hov.” His silence this time speaks volumes.
