Despite paying for many exclusives in the past, Dr. Phil McGraw wants to make it very clear – he is not paying for Jodi Arias’s family’s housing during her trial.
“Rumors that we’re paying for Arias family housing etc… are absolutely untrue,” he Tweeted on Saturday night. “I’ve never met the Arias family, and neither I, nor my … production company – has paid or promised them anything. Robin and I are praying for the Alexander family.”
Dr. Phil and his production company have been accused of paying for her family’s hotel and living expenses in exchange for Jodi’s mother’s daily notes she writes at the trial. It has also been said that Dr Phil paid license fees for photos and video of the family.
Jailhouse visitor logs show that a producer from Dr. Phil has visited Jodi 2 times in jail.
In exchange for George and Cindy Anthony’s first TV interview following their daughter Casey’s trial, McGraw informed viewers that the interview was being done in return for a donation to Caylee’s Fund.
