Despite their earlier denials, The Washington Examiner has obtained emails that reveal the American Action Group, a conservative organization, offered Gaga $1 million to perform.
RNC spokesman Sean Spicer states that AAG is unaffiliated with the Republican Party.
The statement was released after from radio host, Rush Limbaugh, spoke out over the effort to get Gaga to provide entertainment during the convention.
Dolly Parton and Pitbull also declined invitations to perform.
