Despite being warned by studio officials to stick only to questions about the movie , several reporters tried to sneak some personal questions to Tom Cruise at his LA premiere of his new film ‘Oblivion,’ but without much luck.
“Tom arrived 20-minutes early and looked more comfortable smiling and taking pictures with his fans than talking with reporters,” one eyewitness tells Naughty But Nice Rob. “When he finally did interviews they were quick and he stayed away from his private life. He wouldn’t even reveal what he was getting daughter, Suri, for her upcoming 8th birthday on April 18th.”
However, Tom did want to make clear that he has never spoken about his split with Katie Holmes and was misquoted by German TV when it was reported that he said he was “blindsided” by the split.
“Tom has learned the lesson about talking about his private life. He was once very private and very popular. Then he decided to share more about the importance of Scientology in life and his family and it backfired,” says one insider. “Now, Tom’s new demand is please only ask about my work!”
