John Stamos is thanking fans for supporting him in the wake of his DUI arrest.
The “Full House” star was stopped by police in Beverly Hills on Friday night after several 911 calls were placed about a swerving vehicle. Stamos was taken by paramedics to a local hospital, where it was determined he was under the influence. He was placed under arrest at the medical facility.
“Uncle Jesse,” trended on Twitter for hours after the news broke.
“Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I’m home & well,” he tweeted. The actor added, “Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.” “BHPD” refers to the Beverly Hills Police Department, while “Cedars” is short for Cedars Sinai hospital.
Stamos is in the midst of producing the upcoming Netflix “Full House” spinoff, “Fuller House,” and has his own FOX comedy, “Grandfathered,” premiering this fall.
