Ashlee Simpson’s attempt at a comeback isn’t going according to plan after her new single, released on November 21st via her Twitter account, failed to make any impact.
“Bat for a Heart” was co-written and produced by Simpson and her writer, Linda Perry, who is also known to pen songs for Christina Aguilera. Despite a huge push from friends and big sister, Jessica, the song has disappeared without a trace.
“I am so excited to share my new music #BatForAHeart with you,” wrote Jessica Simpson’s younger sister.
The singer released the single independently hoping it would do well and help secure her a contract with a major label. It didn’t do either and now any hope of recording a new studio album has disappeared too.
