Art Basel 2019 is just wrapping up in Miami, and Miss D was there for one of the hottest events happening: elrow’Art Presents Kaos Garden.
Making its U.S. debut, more than 1000 people arrived — in various states of undress — for this immersive odyssey inside in a custom-built structure at Island Gardens. Curated by artist Okuda San Miguel and DJ/producer Paco Osuna, this dynamic team served up their interpretation of Bosch’s painting “The Garden of Earthly Delights.” That meant an explosion of color on dancers and stilt walkers who performed throughout the night as electronic music pulsated all night long.
Fashion brand Desigual and art collective Ink and Movement were part of the elrow’Art experience, which invited attendees play, feel and participate in the music and art happening all around us. Special advisor of the show Michael Julian told Miss D, “We’re so excited and proud of elrow’Art. It’s a perfect destination for art lovers and music fans to experience this unique multisensory collaboration.”
Lifestyle expert Samantha Bessudo Drucker, a local Miami socialite who joined Miss D for the adventure, says, “the event was colorful and fun. It was like dancing inside of a psychedelic kaleidoscope.”
While Miss D may have been a tad overdressed for the occasion, she was perfectly suited for The Deck, located right night door to Kaos Garden. This Miami waterfront restaurant and lounge is classy and chic, offering up full-size dining tables and waterfront cabana lounges. Of course, you can arrive by land or by sea, just pull up in your yacht to dock and dine!
The Seafood Tower with Kaluga and Oscietra caviar along with cocktail jumbo shrimp, king crab legs, lobster, large stone crab and oysters is a perfect choice as you sip an artisan cocktail like the El Marinero, made with Fos Mastiha, basil, cucumber, lime juice, simple syrup and soda water.
Next time you’re in Miami, hit 888 MacArthur Causeway to experience all Island Gardens has to offer. And if you are in New York City on Dec.14, you can experience the elrow’Art traveling initiative for yourself. Tickets are now on sale.
