Hoda Feared Studio Audience Wouldn’t Show Up – EXCLUSIVE

Hoda Kotb was so frightened that she wouldn’t be able to deliver a studio audience for the new fourth hour of “The Today Show” in front of a live crowd that she insisted the show only do this new gimmick twice a week.

“Originally the plan was to move Hoda and Jenna into Megyn Kelly’s old Studio 6A at Rockefeller Center full-time. The space only holds an audience of a couple of hundred, but Hoda was so nervous that she wouldn’t be able to attract a crowd five-days a week, she insisted on having an audience just two times a week,” sources tell STRAIGHT SHUTER. “You need to realize that Hoda doesn’t see herself as a big TV star. She is humble and very low-key. She is still amazed when fans show up at her book signings. And although the tickets are free, Hoda didn’t believe that without Kathie Lee anyone would care. But she was wrong. Every live show announced has sold out within minutes.”

Insiders say, a live studio audience will soon be there at every show. At this rate, they might even need to find a bigger studio!
