Before his big night at the BRIT Awards, Kanye West shunned the luxury trappings backstage and instead headed to Nandos at the O2 for a tasty chicken dinner… and ended up standing on a table leading the crowd in a Kanye chant.
The rapper sat at a table with his entourage, and at first shunned curious fans, telling them, “I’m just a singer who wants to be left alone.”
However, it wasn’t long before embraced the attention and after he finished his dinner, he jumped up onto the food counter and yelled, “If we are gonna do this, let’s do it right!” before chanting “Yeezus” and encouraging the whole restaurant to join him.
The stunt stunned fellow diners who got to their feet and joined in, but Kanye’s bodyguard soon became concerned and coaxed him down from the counter and hurried him out of the door.
An onlooker says, “Kanye was eating chicken with his entourage in Nandos. His bodyguard stood nearby throughout. He told people he was a singer who wanted to be left alone. At the end he got on the counter and posed for photos then started a chant saying ‘Yeezus’. His bodyguard was annoyed he got recognized. He jumped down and got out quick.”
Just another quiet meal out for Kanye.
