Sunday’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” season premiere could not keep up with last year with only 1.568 million in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic – losing 137,000 demo viewers, or eight percent of its 18-49 1014 audience – and Kris is blaming THE ROYALS!
“Kris is convinced that E! new scripted show is dragging her down. She is saying that all the promotions are focusing on the new show. The pop up ads on Eonline are for The Royals and the ads on TV has lumped both shows together, and she doesn’t like it,” a close source tells NAUGHTY GOSSIP.
“The Royals,” also opened strong. Excluding spinoffs, The Royals ranks as the biggest cable launch this year amongst W18-34 and W18-49 (#2 overall behind Better Call Saul).
“Kris is pushing Ryan Seacrest , who also executive produces the Kardashian show, to intervene and get E! to focus on them, not any new shows,” adds a network insider.
