It seems that an angel has fallen. Miranda Kerr, the wife of Orlando Bloom, is not getting renewed after her $1 million, three-year contract expired. Sources said that Kerr “has a difficult reputation” and that she is “not a big seller for VS.”
“They can still use her for catalogue, where she will get a day rate, but she doesn’t have to be an Angel to do that,” a source reported.
Executives from Victoria’s Secret tell Us Weekly that they won’t deny that Kerr’s contract hasn’t been renewed.
USA Today is reporting a different story though. Ed Razek, president and chief marketing officer at Victoria’s Secret, was confirmed as saying “Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumors to the contrary are simply untrue.”
He went on to say: “While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed.”
Don’t worry Miranda, you’ll always be our angel too!
