David and Victoria Beckham have put their country estate – known as Beckingham Palace – up for sale for the price of $15 million.
The mansion includes a recording studio, helipad and indoor and outdoor swimming pools and enough room to house a King and Queen.
After 14 years of living in Hertfordshire, the couple are said to be looking for a more cosmopolitan life in London, but are determined to sell to a private buyer, and not to a developer who might split the property into luxury apartments.
A source close to the family tells The Mail that the couple, David, 37, and Victoria, 38, don’t want builders to cash in on their name, explaining: ‘They know there aren’t lots of individuals looking for houses of this size, and developers would jump at the chance to turn it into smaller flats, which would have added value because of the Beckham connection.’
