Clare Crawley Blames Producer for Strip Dodgeball! From Cosmopolitan! Bachelor Nation still isn’t over how incredibly cringe last week’s episode of The Bachelorette was, in part due to a game of strip dodgeball in which Clare Crawley’s suitors had to take off literally all their clothes. The date caused viewers to voice concern about the show’s objectification of Clare’s guys, with fans saying the game was “lowkey creepy,” “vaguely sexually harassy,” “severely problematic,” and full of “double-standards.”
But apparently Clare is NOT here for people calling her out. Like, to the point where she hopped on Twitter and shut down a fan who wrote “It’s awful you had the guys take off their clothes if The bachelor asked the women do the same things all heck would break loose. You were wrong. Juan Pablo should have had you strip.”
Behold, her response:

Hmmm, maybe the lesson here is The Bachelor and Bachelorette should…like…STOP MAKING CONTESTANTS STRIP? Either way, producers (not Clare) were the ones who organized this date, and according to Us Weekly, she liked a tweet that said “Hmmmm it’s almost like making contestants take their clothes off is a really tired production trick and wasn’t your idea at all.”
Considering this comes on the heels of Clare liking tweets that said producers forced her out of the show, yikes.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. Do not keep reading if you don’t want to know what happens during Clare’s journey to find love on Season 16 of The Bachelorette before it airs on ABC!
Yes JoJo is there to fill in for Chris as he quarantines, but the days seem off. Cast and crew didn’t quarantine for 14 days before filming began. It was around a week. And missing 14 days would be way more than 2 rose ceremonies. https://t.co/j9MuaEftzu

You can count on four episodes with Clare as Bachelorette.
Reality Steve has checked his sources and mapped out Clare’s likely tenure as the lead. He says the transition from Clare to Tayshia will happen in episode four, Nov. 5.
That’s when Chris Harrison tells Clare, “You’ve blown up the Bachelorette.”
When is The Bachelorette airing again?
A lot has changed for season 16 of The Bachelorette, including the TV schedule. Most weeks it airs on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EST. But, during election week, The Bachelorette will air on Thursday Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. EST.
She has her pick of 31 different dudes.
Clare’s crop of gentleman callers range in age from 26 to 40, and most of them are in their thirties. Two guys have been married or engaged before. Brendan Morais was married for a few years, and it ended around a year ago, per Steve. And, Bennett Jordan was engaged as recently as August 2019.
The potential suitors also represented more diversity than usually seen on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, with 11 out of her possible 31 guys being BIPOC. “Eh. It’s…better?” Bachelor spoilers blogger Reality Steve tweeted.
And, you’d think the guys would be so stoked to get to know Clare, but one called her “fake” to her face. His exact words were: “You’re everything fake. You’re a completely different person.”
Still, she has only good things to say about the suitors. “These men really stepped up, and I think having that long awaited time in between — I believe it was almost six months — they really did an excellent job of recasting men that would suit me and that were my type,” Clare told Good Morning America. “So, these guys that showed up really brought their A-game. It was an exceptional group of men.”
Clare has a drama-filled date with Zach Jackson.
According to Reality Steve, their one on one date “is going to stir up a lot of discussion.” What should be relaxing, a spa day date and some pool time, is anything but for Clare.
He’s not the only one stirring the pot in Palm Springs. Yosef and Eazy bring their own drama. After Yosef yells, “I expected more from the oldest Bachelorette,” Clare sends him home. He also utters the words, “She can’t fool everyone forever,” in that shocking preview on Instagram.
But, she only needed two rose ceremonies to pick the one.
After that, Reality Steve says production stepped in and initiated the Bacheloretteswitcheroo. And you won’t see Tayshia and Clare together this season, per Steve.
“I originally reported in the season spoilers that Clare had 3 rose ceremonies,” he wrote in a new blog post. “Clare does NOT have a 3rd rose ceremony. Next week is when the transition is made from Clare to Tayshia. Now, WHEN we’ll see Tayshia appear next episode I don’t know, but I’m guessing it’ll be at the very end. Next week I assume will be Clare’s conversation with Chris, Clare and Dale talking, Clare addressing the guys about her decision to leave with Dale, and Chris Harrison informing the guys what happens from here.”
And, Clare was just spotted with a diamond ring.
It looked like it could be a telltale Neil Lane engagement ring on her left ring finger, per Page Six. But, Clare had an explanation to share on Instagram.
“People have noticed I wear this ring on my wedding finger, and have asked why! The truth is because it is a commitment to myself first and foremost, to embody self-love. • In the past I found myself getting into relationships where there was little to no reciprocity, and in the end would feel depleted and empty. This is my promise to myself, to make sure I always had enough self love that no matter what happened, I was committed to loving myself unconditionally, and that is something no man could take away from me.”
Chris Harrison isn’t hosting the whole season.
Yep, you read that right. The one person you have counted on for every season of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor will be MIA for at least a few weeks this season.
Chris left the set to take his son to college in Texas, and he wasn’t able to jet right back to his post. He had to quarantine again before returning to the set. “The moment he got back, Chris was told he could not set foot back on the set until he went through another 14-day quarantine,” an inside source told US Weekly. “The show’s contestants and crew all had to quarantine on the property for 14 days prior to the camera’s rolling. But it didn’t dawn on Chris he’d have to do it all over again if he simply left to take his kid to college.”
So, ABC tapped former Bachelorette Jojo Fletcher to fill in as host while he completed quarantine, per US Weekly. Reality Steve confirmed it and introduced questions in a tweet: “Yes JoJo is there to fill in for Chris as he quarantines, but the days seem off. Cast and crew didn’t quarantine for 14 days before filming began. It was around a week. And missing 14 days would be way more than 2 rose ceremonies.”
