“Real Housewives of New York” star Aviva Drescher is coming back to the hit reality show, that starts filming May 6th.
Castmates Ramona Singer, Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwill have signed on to return to the show, and LuAnn de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan both have “contracts on the table,” that they are waiting to sign.
However, Drescher – who was last seasons breakout star – status had been “pending,” in a move that one ex-housewife says was deliberate to; “hurt her negotiating power when it came to getting a salary increase.”
“Without Ramona and Aviva, last season was dull. Carole took on the role of the greek chorus – doing nothing but commenting on the other ladies behavior. Heather and Sonia boring toaster-oven story line lasted an entire season. It was only Ramona and Aviva that brought the drama,” a friend of Ramoma’s tell’s Naughty But Nice Rob. “The two of them have not spoke since the reunion and they are going to make this new season the best one ever. Ramona is thrilled that Aviva is back. Without Aviva on the show Ramona would have nothing to do but attend another celebration parties every time Carole writes a short story or takes another photograph of a homeless person.”
Drescher, who could not film in her old apartment has moved into a fancy Park Avenue townhouse with her large family, all of which will be documented – along with an incident she had with another mother at her son’s fancy private school – for Season 6.
Drescher’s rep declined to comment.
