Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s trip to Cuba was fully sanctioned by the United States Department of Treasury, as a U.S. government-approved cultural visit say’s the couples lawyers.
Initially the trip was described as a trip to celebrate the couple’s 5-year wedding anniversary but after criticism the couples lawyers were quick to point out it was a ‘cultural visit,’ as Beyoncé and Jay met with Cuban artists, musicians and architects.
No word yet on how Beyoncé and Jay’s mothers, who were both also on the trip, plus the security guards that followed them to Cuba, got their visas.
Two members of Congress representing Florida are now investigating the superstar couple. The United States has had a long-standing embargo against Cuba, siting human rights violations that the Castro Government condones. The same policy not longer exist with China!
