Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser would do anything to get the role of a lifetime – including shaving his head in a bid to age his character on the hit series.
The 33-year-old actor, who plays uptight advertising executive Pete Campbell, showed off his clearly receding hairline at the SAG Awards in January.
Vincent revealed he had shaved his hairline and put on 25 pounds for the role.
“At the beginning of the season, Matt (the creator) said I was gonna have my hair shaved back and he said, you know, “Would you mind putting on some weight?” And I said, “Absolutely not.” And I just started eating like a pig.
Vincent said his friends had tried to stop him, saying: ‘Most of my friends were like, Dude, don’t do that, it might never come back in! But luckily I have a good head of hair.’
And to think, all Jon Hamm was asked to do was wear underpants!
