There are new concerns about the health of child star MACAULAY CULKIN after he was mistaken for a tramp in London last week.
Spotted smoking on a street corner at 2.30am with fingernails painted black, student Marley Spindley took a picture of his pal Drew with his arm around Macaulay, who looked very ill.
Marley told The Sun: “I didn’t recognize him at first — I thought it was some homeless guy who was scrounging a smoke.”
“We had a brief chat with him and his accent was American. It was only then that Drew asked him if he was Macaulay Culkin. Even then I wasn’t convinced. I’m no expert, but he didn’t seem all there.”
Fellow student Drew added: “We chatted for about five minutes and he said he was in London seeing friends though he was vacant, speaking very quietly and mellow. He looked spaced out. You’d have thought he was a down-and-out, not a famous film star.”
Macaulay was arrested in 2004 for possession of marijuana and Alprazolam and Clonazepam anti-depressants and given three one–year suspended jail sentences. He has denied reports claiming he was addicted to heroin.
