Lena Dunham has celebrated her curves for years and has never been one to go to the gym, but friends are revealing that she has had a breakthrough due to her mental health.
-Lena has been very open about dealing with anxiety, depression and OCD (just like her character on the HBO hit Girls)
– According to a friend, “Part of her schtick for years has been making fun of her anxiety and depression just like Howard Stern or numerous comedians. You make it funny to make it go away. But she noticed that she needed something else so she is now exercising to be happier and relax.”
– Lena proved this to be true when she announced on Instagram that she has started working out with Gwyneth Paltrow’s fitness guru Tracy Anderson:
‘ Promised myself I would not let exercise be the first thing to go by the wayside when I got busy with Girls Season 5,’ she wrote next to the photo.
‘To those struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression: I know it’s mad annoying when people tell you to exercise, and it took me about 16 medicated years to listen. I’m glad I did.’
– The source adds, “she could careless about loosing weight or looking like Gwyneth or Jlo, she just wants to be less neurotic and happier.”
