Man Accused of Scamming 15 Women from Dating Sites Out of $360,000 Using Nude Pics as Blackmail

Be careful who you share things with on those online dating profiles. One man managed to con 15 different women out of a total of $360,000 by using their explicit photos to extort them.

Alleged conman John Taylor stole nearly $360,000 after tricking at least 15 women he met online to give him access to their credit and personal information, prosecutors say.

Taylor, who alternately posed as a businessman and an oil tycoon as he sweet talked his victims, was arrested Wednesday.

The 46-year-old carried on romantic relationships with several of his victims who lived in Manhattan, Atlanta and Virginia, and racked up thousands of dollars in credit card charges in their names. When one woman confronted the conman he threatened to send explicit pictures of her to her employer, according to the complaint.

Taylor was charged with wire fraud, bank fraud, aggravated identity theft and threatening interstate communications and faces up to 30 years in prison. He is being held without bail until a Jan. 4 court appearance.

$360,000 divided by 15 women is $24,000. At what point do you EVER give someone you met online anywhere close to $24,000?
