Paula Deen’s rep says the chef had nothing to do with a racist photo appearing on her Twitter account on Tuesday, which showed her son, Bobby Dean, in brownface. And Deen has now also fired her social media manager for allegedly posting the offensive tweet.
A rep for the chef said: “This photograph is from a Halloween episode of Paula’s ‘Best Dishes’ that aired in 2011,” her rep told E! News, adding, “Paula immediately had this picture taken down as soon as she saw the post and apologizes to all who were offended.” The rep noted that “Paula Deen Ventures has terminated their relationship with this social media manager.”
