Pennsylvania Woman Drives Into Oncoming Traffic To ‘Test Her Faith’

A Pennsylvania woman is behind bars after she allegedly drove into oncoming traffic, causing an accident that left two people hurt. Nadejda Reilly, 51, told officers that she was driving around for a few hours waiting for a “calling from God.” As she saw another car on the other side of the road, she decided to “test her faith by driving through the vehicle.”

She proceeded to drive onto the other side of the street and rammed into the car headfirst. While she managed to escape the accident unscathed, two people in the other car were hurt. They were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. After the crash, she felt her test of faith had been rewarded and did not seem concerned for the passengers in the other vehicle.

“Reilly related God took care of her by not having her injured,” wrote Trooper Bruce Balliet in an arrest affidavit. “Reilly expressed no concerns or remorse for the victims. Reilly also stated she did not care if the other people were injured because God would have taken care of them.”

Reilly was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment along with several traffic charges. A judge initially set her bail at $50,000, but it was later revoked because Reilly was considered a danger to the community.
