Guardians of Peace, the cyber-terrorists behind the Sony Pictures Entertainment intrusion, has warned that their wake of destruction “may extend to other such organizations in the near future,” according to an FBI and Department of Homeland Security Joint Intelligence Bulletin.
Post by the hackers suggest that the anonymous media organization is in fact CNN, The Desk journalist Matthew Keys reports.
‘…IF A NEWS ORGANIZATION IS ATTACKED IN THE SAME MANNER SONY WAS, IT COULD PUT COUNTLESS SENSITIVE SOURCES IN DANGER OF BEING EXPOSED—OR WORSE.’
“We congratulate you success. CNN is the BEST in the world.”
“You will find the gift for CNN at the following address.”
“P.S. You have 24 hours to give us the Wolf.”
Could the hackers’ final threat be a jab at CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer? – Or Anderson Cooper?
