NJ may have some problems with Superstorm Sandy, traffic scandals, and guidos, but it appears the state finally got something right.
Whitney Houston, along with 13 other notable New Jersey-ans, was inducted into the NJ Hall of Fame yesterday. Houston’s mother, Cissy, was there to accept the honor on behalf of the late star, as was cousin, Dionne Warwick, a fellow 2013 honoree.
Among the other recipients was Latina sensation Celia Cruz, revolutionary Thomas Paine, and former president Grover Cleveland.
The New Jersey Hall of Fame is a nonprofit organization and has no physical home. Though, as a surprise to no one, they rolled out a “mobile museum” (aka Trailer) and is currently parked at the Newark Museum.
