Justin Bieber says there’s a difference between being an “artist” and just a “pop star.”

“They’ll try to walk all over you,” Bieber said of record labels. “But if I wouldn’t have taken a stand, I would’ve just ended up being like all the other pop stars.”

“It’s rare to find an artist in a pop star. Usually it’s just a pop star. Michael Jackson was an artist…. It’s not just being a performer and good at what you do. There’s a lot of people that can sing and dance, but it takes a lot to create and take it to the next level.”
