Jennifer Love Hewitt managed to shock Ellen and co-host Matthew Perry with her choice of dress during an appearance on Friday’s The Ellen Show.

The star’s black dress featured a plunging sweetheart neckline, which only just protected her modesty

And Ellen wasted no time in mentioning Jennifer’s risqué choice of outfit.

‘Were you just sewing your dress when you came out?’ Did you run out of time or…?’ she asked.

‘No, it’s the design,’ Jennifer replied. ‘It’s a little wowsers. Sorry about it. I didn’t have a lot of time. Anyway, hello.’

Matthew and Ellen didn’t know where to look!

‘What a weird day you’re here on,’ Ellen told Matthew.

‘It might be my favourite day,’ he replied to audience laughter.

‘I’m a bit fan of yours,’ Jennifer told Matthew.

‘Oh thank you. Right back at you,’ said Matthew, before turning to Ellen: ‘You’re going to have to handle most of this.’

‘Whenever this happens, I always overcompensate. I always look five feet above the head,” joked Matthew.
