Naughty But Nice broke that news that Bethenny Frankel bought her $5 million apartment in her assistant’s name, just after she purchased it – with a mortgage. Making her divorce even more complex.
Property records show that Skinnygirl creator, who claims that she is worth $120 million, bought her apartment in the name of her assistant Molly Hayden. At the time it was assumed Bethenny did this to keep the purchase private. But now this is making her divorce from Jason Hoppy even more difficult.
Jason continues to live in the apartment, which under New York law say’s you can’t evict a spouse from a property that a spouse is living in unless there is violence. He is also still wearing his wedding ring despite the fact the couple separated three months ago. Bethenny has made it clear she has moved on.
“Love or hate her, Bethenny is a brilliant businesswoman,” a friend of the reality star tells NBNROB. “In the end you know she will make sure everything works out in the way that best benefits Bethenny.”
Bethenny and Jason announced they were separating after two years of marriage in December.
