Selena Gomez visited Elvis and the rest of the morning show crew, talking about everything from Justin Bieber – to her celebrity crush.
“The older I’ve gotten the more I’ve wanted to have creative control. I got to write a lot, which was fun. But I ended up appreciating more of figuring out the melodies and working with producers that I admire.”
“I guess we are noticing something here…a movie that you typically would not have done before, a new look, a new feeling that you gave us at the MTV movie awards and now a new album. Is this going to be a departure from what we are used to? What is different about this album?” Elvis questioned, to which Gomez replied “Everything. Not just the lyrics, but the music of it all…this time I wouldn’t even touch a song if I didn’t like. I really wanted to be a part of it. …I just wanted to make sure that every sound you’re hearing, every track you’ll play is like ear candy. It’s just fun.”
“What’s Selena Gomez up to? What is she gonna tell us in this album.” Elvis wants to know, “I’m in my 20’s. I wanna have fun, I wanna enjoy my life and not have to worry about every little thing and each of the tracks on the album kind of have the reflection of just letting loose and just being in the moment. It’s a shift, as opposed to a more emotional stand point. There is one of those on there, but it’s still going to keep them guessing.”
When pressed for details the singer replied, “I think I’ve actually given enough of myself, if that makes sense. I feel within my music, and even how I handle myself in interviews, people think they know, but they really actually don’t. . .In a way, I like to keep myself a little bit private, but at the same time people do assume things.”
Adding, that she also think Ryan Gosling is super cute. “I’ve seen him on an airplane and I freaked out. I don’t even think he saw me,” she told Elvis.
