Hollywood Walk of Fame Refuse To Remove Bill Cosby And Donald Trumps Star

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has denied a Los Angeles coalition of African-American civil rights leaders’ request to remove Bill Cosby’s star on the city’s Walk of Fame after the he confessed to drugging women for sex.

Additionally, the group asked for the removal of Donald Trump’s star following his derogatory comments about Mexican immigrants, which the Commerce also denied.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has received inquiries asking on whether we are planning to remove the stars of Donald Trump and Bill Cosby. The answer is no,” Leron Gubler, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and chief executive, said in a statement Thursday, reports Lee Bailey’s Electronic Urban Report.

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark,” Gubler continued. “Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”
