After 12 years at cable channel HLN, cable personality Nancy Grace will leave the network in October to focus on a new project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grace told staffers Thursday morning that she would not return to the network once her contract expires. The last episode of Grace’s eponymous show will air Oct. 13.
The former Atlanta prosecutor and outspoken cable news fixture is working on a new project that will have “a very large digital component,” Grace told THR.
“Nancy Grace,” which airs at 8 p.m. on the CNN-owned channel, will be replaced with another program, details of which are still under wraps.
HLN is in the midst of a major revamp. So far, the channel is reworking its dayside lineup with new shows anchored by Michaela Pereira and Erica Hill, and the channel is expected to add unscripted programming similar to CNN’s original series.
