Kathy Griffin has confirmed during a stand-up performance on Friday night at Cincinnati’s Taft Theater that Bravo has cancelled her low-rated talk show.
The network confirms they are still working with the comedian filming her comedy specials, but now she is free to pursue a new talk show with Anderson Cooper – they just filmed the pilot together.
“It was never a good fit for Kathy. She is at her best talking about celebrities behind their backs, not to their faces,” one Bravo insider tells Naughty But Nice Rob. “She is part of Bravo’s DNA and will always be part of the Bravo family, but unfortunately the talk show format just didn’t work for her.
Kathy premiered last spring and, despite low ratings, was renewed for a second season.
