Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no regrets about their historic decision to step down from their positions as full time working members of the Royal Family and move to Canada. The Duchess of Sussex, in particular, is loving her new life on Vancouver island her husband their 10-month-old son Archie. Their newfound privacy has given Meghan a nice break from the constant negativity she faced after marrying Prince Harry.
According to an Us Weekly source, the Sussexes’ big move to Canada “has given [Meghan] the chance to reset.” Meghan is reportedly enjoying a more quiet life and taking daily walks with Archie and the family dogs. “Meghan’s thrilled to have escaped the chaos of London,” the insider added. “She feels like a new person. Meghan has a real spring in her step again,” the source says. “It’s wonderful to see her in top form.”
Meghan opened up about the hardships she faced as a new member of the Royal Family in a candid interview last fall, telling ITV’s Tom Bradbury the constant criticism from the British tabloid press was really “challenging” and made her feel extremely “vulnerable.” Us Weekly’s source shaded in some more details from that turbulent time in Meghan’s life, telling the outlet the Duchess “felt trapped and claustrophobic” living with Harry at Frogmore Cottage in London.“She was nervous to step outside her own front door because of all the negative attention she attracted,” the source contined, even revealing that Meghan began suffering from panic attacks after her wedding.
While Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down has come to be known casually as ‘Megxit,’ another source claims the move abroad was actually Harry’s idea. “When it became clear Meghan was never going to get a fair shake, Harry snapped,” the source said. “He’s adamant that it was his call to move to Canada.”
