ANOTHER BROADWAY FLOP … Woody Allen’s BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is closing in August due to awful ticket sales.
The new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film of the same name, will play its final performance Aug. 24 at the St. James Theatre.
Directed and choreographed by five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman, the production officially opened on Broadway April 10 following previews that began March 11.
Upon closing, the musical will have played 156 regular performances and 33 previews.
