An unnamed security guard has filed a hostile work environment lawsuit for marijuana smoke in the Los Angeles Superior Court against celebs including Adam Levine and Macy Gray, as well as the entourages of T.I. and Jamie Foxx at the center of it.
The plaintiff is a 41 year old, African-American woman claiming that Universal Music Publishing Group’s Santa Monica location was “infiltrated with pervasive drug use where you could smell marijuana seeping from various offices and openly used in common areas, and lounges.”
When the guard tried to correct the situation, said her concerns were laughed off. Stating that the UPMG boss told her, “It’s Adam Levine. You know from Maroon 5 … He can do whatever he wants… If he wants to come to the lobby and do a line of cocaine on the floor, it’s OK.” She also claims she refused drugs that were offered to her from many other artists and high-profile celebrities. (Celebrities share drugs?)
UMPG has said they can’t comment on the allegations between the plaintiff and her employer but that,” the allegations as they relate to Universal Music Group are absurd.” The plaintiff said they did try to cover the smell with candles and incense!
