Bill Paxton’s Official Cause of Death Revealed

Bill Paxton passed away from a stroke, according to the late actor’s death certificate.

In the document obtained by TMZ, the Big Love star’s had just undergone valve replacement surgery to correct an aortic aneurysm problem when he suffered complications from the procedure, resulting in a fatal stroke. The death certificate stated that Paxton went under the knife on Feb. 14 — just 11 days before his death.

Paxton — whose most known for his roles in The Terminator, Aliens, Apollo 13, Twister and Hatfields & McCoys — died on Feb. 25 at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He was 61.
