Kate Middlton and Prince William: THE REASON THEY DON’T HOLD HANDS
The royal tour of 2016 has come to an end, and although the couple looked absolutely elated by their experience and enjoyed their time in such a gorgeous locale while in one another’s company, one fact stands out about the two.
Any royal watcher would likely notice that the Duke and Duchess were never spotted on the entire trip holding hands or embracing one another!
Myra Meika, who is an etiquette coach, shares the reason why Will and Kate avoid holding hands in public.
“There is no actual etiquette or royal protocol that says the couple must refrain from PDA. The likely reasoning is more that while traveling on a tour such as the India trip, technically the couple are working representatives of British Monarchy. The couple are likely to show very little PDA, if any, to remain professional during their designated roles abroad.”
It’s clear, regardless of the no-PDA rule, that the couple is smitten with one another after four years of marriage and two little ones. Kate and Will returned home from their tour of Bhutan this past Saturday and are preparing to host United States’ President Barack Obama and first Lady Michelle on Friday night at Kensington Palace. Prince Harry will also be in attendance at the dinner.
