Bravo is playing tough with The Real Housewives of NYC. Telling them – sign your contracts by tomorrow or they are pulling the plug on the show!
The ladies have banded together against the network refusing to start taping until they ALL get big raises.
LuAnn de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Aviva Drescher, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Heather Thomson have all been offered deals with a modest pay increase, but the deals are non negotiable for Season 6, which is supposed to begin production on Monday.
“Ramona is the ring leader and she is telling the ladies they all should get more money,” one insider tells Naughty But Nice Rob. “Ramona and LuAnn already earn $500,000 a season. While the three new ladies, Aviva, Carole and Heather all earned $60,000 last season.”
One source close to the show insists they are all replaceable. They have even started looking for new cast members to replace the ladies that do not sign if the show moves forward and does not get pulled.
“Each one of us were offended such low amounts that we all refused to sign. We did not get together, half of us don’t speak. We are not being greedy we are asking for what we are worth,” one of the cast members tells Naughty But Nice Rob. “We don’t make money writing books and selling wine anymore, so we need to make money as talent on the show. By the time we pay for cloths, make-up, lawyers and publicists to protect ourselves from the way we are painted in editing – we lose money doing this show. Having an unhappy cast makes no sense. They are saying they will pull the show if we don’t sign tomorrow, but we don’t believe them.”
We will wait to see!!!
